Macca Can...we hope
The FA have finally appointed a successor to Sven for the head coach of the English. It's probably the best we could hope for. Scolari is undoubtedly a better coach, but England have a different style. It is probably best that he is English too, perhaps FIFA should have a rule whereby the coaches for, say, the top 50 countries have to be from that nation (those outside of that top 50, may need more choices and experience to help them develop and, therefore, need to go foriegn). After all we don't go out and hire Ronaldinho, as much as we may like to, to play for our national team!
Looking at the alternatives (English ones at least): he's probably a better option than Curbs, Bruce, & Robson (thankfully both of them went down) and it's too soon for Pearce. The only other choice was Sam Allardyce (who wouldv'e been as successful as Graham Taylor). As for O'Neill perhaps the best coach of the bunch, but BEING BRITISH IS NOT BEING ENGLISH!
